This Privacy Policy explains how Martin Kocisky (“Pocket Dossier,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you use the Pocket Dossier iOS app and this website.

Pocket Dossier is built as a privacy-first product. Personal records you enter in the app are intended to stay on your device, with optional sync to your private iCloud account.

2. Information We Process

Depending on your usage and settings, app data can include:

• Profile details, travel history, document records, financial records, and reminder preferences.
• Technical app metadata needed for product functionality and reliability.
• If enabled by you: optional anonymous telemetry events without direct identity fields.

3. How We Use Information

• Provide core app functions (tracking, reminders, reports, widgets).
• Maintain app security and reliability.
• Provide support when requested by you.

4. Storage and Sync

• Primary data storage is local on your device.
• If iCloud sync is enabled, data syncs to your private iCloud/CloudKit environment.
• Sensitive fields may be encrypted using device keychain-backed mechanisms.

5. Analytics and Tracking

Pocket Dossier does not rely on advertising identifiers. If anonymous telemetry exists in your build, it is optional and controlled in app settings.

6. Third-Party Services

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share information only when required to provide requested functionality, comply with law, or protect rights and safety.

8. Your Choices

• Enable/disable iCloud sync in app settings.
• Enable/disable optional telemetry (if present in your app build).
• Manage notification and location permissions in iOS settings.

9. Data Retention

Retention depends on your device state, iCloud settings, and your own deletion actions. You can remove records within the app and control backups via Apple settings.

10. International Use

If you use Pocket Dossier across jurisdictions, your legal obligations may vary by country. App outputs are informational and do not constitute legal, tax, or immigration advice.

11. Children

Pocket Dossier is not directed to children under 13.

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, additional notice.
